Portrait of Henrietta Maria of France.

Queen consort of England, Scotland, and Ireland as the wife of King Charles I. She was mother of his two immediate successors, Charles II and James II.

Canvas size is 42cm x 54cm

The painting has been with one owner for over 25 years. It was purchased from a manor house called Holcombe Court in Holcombe Rogus on the Devon / Somerset borders. It has been relined, and the frame is from around 1820, later in date than the painting, which is 18th century.
