A superb empire period waterfall and bag chandelier. With a circular bronze hoop and applied repousse motifs below upright palmettes. The bronze Dore scroll arms in the style of cornucopia, supporting 10 circular metal drip pans, hung with icicles of crystal glass supporting candle holders.

Chandelier is fully electrified, and is also lit with 10 internal lightbulbs. There are a further 3 lightbulbs halfway up the guilt column. The top is mounted with two dense rows of icicles supported by two tears of button cut crystals attached to a large convexed bronze dish. The dish is boarded with finely chiselled ormolu, in the style of acanthus cresting, burnished and polished gilt highlights.

The bottom of the chandelier has graduated large faceted chains of crystal buttons. The opposite action also has graduating elements of large buttons separated by long lozenge chains, divided by individual similar buttons the chandelier reports to have a very slight amethyst tint good barely noticeable also adding to its quality and substantiating its age to be around 1805 to 1820 in date.
