An early 19th Century Marie Therese Chandelier

A magnificent original 20 arm Marie Therese Italian 18^th century style chandelier.

The bottom tier has eight arms with the original handmade candleholders. The second tier also has eight arms, these are upward-curving in the sea scrolls mounting the candleholders and the third tier is for Venetian glass drip pans. The frame is clad in fine Venetian blacks of glass mounted on the shoulders with 4 fine octagonal cut tapering obelisks. In the centre is a blown glass oval form ball with a support blown base and a similar upper section mounted with a large obelisk. The bottom is hung with its original large hollow blown ball with thumb print overalls on two levels graved into it.
